Rajasthan: Electricity bills of more than 42 lakh consumers became zero

Jaipur (Rajasthan), 08 February (ANI): The people of Rajasthan have got a big relief from the Mukhyamantri Gharelu Vidyut Anudan Yojana. With this scheme, the electricity bills of more than 42 lakh domestic consumers of the state are coming to zero. Starting from April 1, 2022, 50 units of electricity are being given free of cost to domestic consumers in this scheme. On the other hand, Rs 3 per unit is being given for the consumption of electricity up to 150 units while Rs 2 per unit is being given by the state government for the use of 150 to 300 units of electricity. Under this scheme, from April 2022 to January 2023, the Ashok Gehlot government has given a grant of Rs 4,385 crore and given a big relief on electricity bills to the common people. Ashok Gehlot government’s Flagship schemes are being discussed across the country. Mukhyamantri Gharelu Vidyut Anudan Yojana has proved to be a boon in providing relief to the residents of the state.
