Rajasthan is establishing new dimension in the agriculture sector: CM Ashok Gehlot

Udaipur (Rajasthan) June 27 (ANI): Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot inaugurated the two-day divisional level Kisan Mahotsav at the Mandi complex located in Baleecha, Udaipur. On this occasion, the Chief Minister said that Rajasthan is setting new dimensions in the agriculture sector. Farmers are being informed about new techniques by organising Kisan Mahotsav in each division. The Chief Minister also said that for the first time, the state government has started presenting a separate agriculture budget for the farmers. The amount of the Farmers Welfare Fund has been increased to 7,500 crore rupees. Farmers are being given the benefit of different schemes worth 42 thousand crore rupees in the state. He said that 2,000 units of electricity is being provided free of cost to the farmers every month. A network of agricultural produce markets is being laid in the state. Apart from this, the Chief Minister gave away cheques of Rs 2.2 lakh to the dependents of farmers under the Rajiv Gandhi Krishak Sathi Sahayata Yojana. Along with this, he also distributed pattas to the allottees of the agricultural product market.
