Rajouri (J&K), June 22 (ANI): Farmers in different areas of J&K’s Rajouri district are happy after they received all the necessary irrigation facilities from the administration. Farmers with small agricultural lands are cultivating paddy and maize in full swing as they’re getting proper water supply for farming with the help of small canals. "Earlier there was water scarcity but now with the construction of small canals, we’re getting water supply timely," a local farmer told ANI. “Maize cultivation is being done in 44,000 hectares area. Around 4,000 quintals of hybrid seed of maize have been distributed to farmers. They're getting a proper supply of water. We appeal to farmers to grow pulses also,” Mahesh Verma, Chief Agriculture Officer of Rajouri said.
