Dehradun (Uttarakhand), Aug 11 (ANI): The festival of ‘Raksha Bandhan’ is approaching soon to celebrate the bond of a brother and sister. A group of women in Uttarakhand’s Dehradun under the campaign of ‘Nation First’ have made ‘rakhis’ for jawans of Indian Army. They have also made ‘rakhis’ for Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, President Ram Nath Kovind and other high officials of the nation. These handmade ‘rakhis’ by the women of Ajivika Education will adorn the wrists of men serving on the borders on the day of ‘Raksha Bandhan’. The nation will celebrate festival of ‘rakhi’ on August 15 this year. While speaking to ANI, Teacher of Ajivika Education Seema Bisht said, “We make ‘rakhi’ for jawans. This is the second year of our nation first campaign in which we are making ‘rakhi’ for them. It is really a matter of happiness that Independence Day and ‘rakhi’ are on the same day.” “Our theme of ‘rakhi’ is ‘tiranga’ (tricolour) and as Article 370 has been recently scrapped in Jammu and Kashmir so, we have made ‘rakhi’ for our Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, President Ram Nath Kovind and other high officials,” she added.
