Ranchi Protest: DC defends police action, says force was used only after repeated appeals failed

Ranchi DC Manjunath Bhajantri said police showed restraint during the JPSC-JSSC aspirants' protest and used only mild force after some anti-social elements allegedly tried to provoke officials. He stated that police intervened to rescue a jawan whose life was at risk and restore normalcy after protesters refused to clear the route during the Assembly gherao.
