Renewable Energy Conclave in Rajasthan: MoUs worth Rs 87,000 crore signed

Jaipur (Rajasthan), 04 March (ANI): The renewal energy conclave was organised under the joint aegis of RRECL, Rajasthan State Electricity Broadcasting Corporation Limited and Economic Times in Jaipur. During the grand conclave, MoUs worth Rs 87,000 crore were signed in the presence of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot. MOUs are expected to generate around 84000 jobs in the state. On the occasion, CM Gehlot said that Rajasthan is ranked first in the country in the field of renewable energy with the state government's investment-friendly policies. He said that wind energy, hybrid plant and green hydrogen projects are thriving in Rajasthan. According to Rajasthan CM, the state government is committed to make required equipment available for renewable power plants in Rajasthan to ensure protection of environment and job creation at the local level. Rajasthan CM said that the state has immense possibilities in the renewable energy sector. Notably, the country's largest solar park is located in Bhadla (Jodhpur). The state government is constantly working to encourage renewable energy sources. Rajasthan's contribution in achieving national goals in this region will be maximum, emphasized CM Gehlot. He said that due to the outstanding performance of Rajasthan in renewable energy, the National Energy Conservation Award has been given in the year 2022 and RRECL has been rewarded by the Ministry of Renewable Energy at the national level. Apart from this, the Chief Minister also launched the Energy Sectoral Portal. Through this portal, all information related to energy will be available at one place. Data of 11 departments are available on the portal and it has been created by the IT team of the Chief Minister's Office.
