Moscow (Russia), Jan 06 (ANI/ TV BRICS): This headscarf is traditionally worn by the groom until the wedding day as the wedding festivities in Zaonezhye have dozens of rituals. She sacred meaning is in the untangling of the bride's braid a girl's farewell to her "will", and in the "beating of hands" an exchange of handshakes between the fathers of the young couple, so that the spouses would live a prosperous life. Traditional Russian wedding of Zaonezhye became the subject of the third book of the project "weddings of the peoples of the world: cultural heritage". On these pages are the smallest details about the marriage celebrations of the indigenous people of Karelia. The information was collected from various historians and ethnographers, libraries and museums. In 2015, Denis Knyazev decided to pass on intangible cultural heritage and unique wedding customs - through photographs and videos. He started his scientific and ethnographic project in Kenya, filming a marriage ceremony in the Maasai tribe. Today the project "weddings of the peoples of the world" also covers Seychelles, India and Russia.
