Severe load shedding adds to winter woes of people in Gilgit-Baltistan

Gilgit Baltistan, 25 December 2023: - The mountainous region of Pak-occupied Gilgit-Baltistan faces Intense cold during the winter. People struggle with scarce resources and face many obstacles in their daily work lives in the chilly weather. However, with the worst load shedding in the region, the local residents are faced with a double whammy. Gilgit-Baltistan is facing the worst electricity crisis with the main center Gilgit having load shedding of around 18 to 19 hours.
