New Delhi, Mar 08 (ANI): Several women will receive ‘Nari Shakti Puraskar’ by President Ram Nath Kovind in the national capital on March 08. The award will be distributed on the occasion of International Women’s Day. Arifa Jan from Jammu and Kashmir’s Srinagar to be awarded the 'Nari Shakti Puraskar' today for her role in the revival of dying crafts of the state. While speaking to ANI, Arifa Jan said, “With support from my father and husband, I have been able to fight the conservative society and reach this point.” A 103-year-old woman from Punjab, Mann Kaur will be awarded 'Nari Shakti Puraskar' by the President today, for her achievements in athletics. She has bagged over 30 medals in track and field events across the globe. Padala Bhudevi from Telangana will receive 'Nari Shakti Puraskar' for helping women in tribal areas. She is a role model for women farmers and rural women entrepreneurs.
