Showket Akbar Dar transforms into an Entrepreneur through Integrated Sheep Development Scheme

Kupwara (J&K), March 14 (ANI): Showket Akbar Dar, a highly educated youth, became an exemplification of the transformative impact of the Integrated Sheep Development Scheme (ISDS), a government initiative for young entrepreneurs. He hails from the Chandigam village in Kupwara district in North Kashmir and completed his graduation from Degree College in Kupwara. He had an aim to start his own business during his college days and raising sheep could be a great idea for him as it has a lot of potential to make money. Sheep Husbandry Department in Kupwara also helped him get started his own venture. He has undergone a remarkable metamorphosis, establishing a flourishing presence in the sheep-rearing business. This visionary entrepreneur not only secures a substantial yearly income through his endeavours but also contributes significantly to the local economy. He not only elevates his own business but becomes a source of livelihood for others by providing business to others. His story shows how government programs can help people like him to achieve their dreams and make a positive impact on other communities. Notably, the Integrated Sheep Development Scheme was launched in the year 2020-21 by the Jammu and Kashmir government. The purpose of the initiative to promote income generation through the establishment of sheep and goat units.
