Srinagar: J-K administration organises workshop to adopt 250-million-year-old fossil site

Srinagar, Oct 23 (ANI): Under Srinagar Smart City project, a field workshop was organised to adopt the 250-million-year-old Guryul Ravine fossil site in Khonmoh area. The Guryul is repository of priceless treasures of fossils of the Permian-Triassic (PT) Mass Extinction Event. The key attraction of the workshop was about exhibition of fossils hunted at the site. The evidence of world’s first tsunami was also lying buried at this site.
