State government will provide free wheat to needy: CM Gehlot

Jaipur (Rajasthan), Apr 23 (ANI): While interacting with media, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said that amid lockdown, state government will ensure that no person sleeps hungry. For this, the government would procure wheat from FCI at market rate and provide 10 kg each to 54 lakh eligible and destitute people deprived of food security and 6 lakh to other needy persons.CM Gehlot said that in a proposed video-conference meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, we will strongly demand Centre to allow migrant workers, small shopkeepers of Rajasthan stranded in other states to come home. CM also underlined that after the implementation of the modified lockdown, government has made efforts to start industrial units in a planned manner. Due to which more industrial units have started functioning than expected. Industrial activities have started in many districts of the state including Bhilwara, Udaipur, Alwar, Jodhpur, Ajmer, Bharatpur and Kota.
