Mumbai, Jan 22 (ANI): The Maharashtra has made it mandatory to read Preamble of Constitution in school during morning assemblies in the state. Speaking on that matter, Maharashtra School Education Minister, Varsha Gaikwad on Tuesday said, "The motive is to tell the children about the constitution, its principles and other laws laid down by it. If a child reads Preamble everyday and takes oath, he understands that he is a citizen of India. Similarly, he should understand the things laid down by the Constitution & learn those values." The rule will come into effect from January 26.
