Trees, electric poles uprooted in Paradip as Odisha faces fury of cyclone Amphan

Jagatsinghpur/ Chandipur (Odisha), May 20 (ANI): Odisha’s Paradip faced cyclone Amphan's fury as wind speed touched 102 kmph on May 20 afternoon in Jagatsinghpur. The gusty wind uprooted scores of trees, electric poles, and tin roofs of several houses. On the other side, rains accompanied by strong winds lashed Chandipur and Bhubaneswar areas. Meanwhile, Fire Services team cleared road blockage near The Executive Engineer, Roads and Building Division (R&B) office in Bhadrak to facilitate the movement of vehicles, essential commodities, and emergency service personnel. Cyclone Amphan is expected to make landfall today between coasts of West Bengal and Bangladesh.
