Trial run of electric loco conducted successfully between Ganjkhwaja-New Chiraila Pauthu Section

Ganjkhwaja (Uttar Pradesh) April 1 (ANI): Trial run of electric loco between 100 km-long Ganjkhwaja in Uttar Pradesh to New Chiraila Pauthu Section under Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor (EDFC) has been done successfully by Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL). DFCCIL will run freight trains at the maximum speed of 100 kmph as against the current maximum speed of 75 kmph on Indian Railways tracks. The 656 km route of Dedicated Freight Corridor (DFC) has already opened for freight trains operation. It is expected that with fully operational DFC, heavy haul train and double stack containers operations will also increase manifold.
