Tripura CM Manik Saha announces ₹50.25 lakh grant for Sanskriti Haat, hails cultural unity

Agartala (Tripura), November 2, 2025 (ANI): Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha attended the celebration marking 100 weeks of Sanskriti Haat at Sen Para, Nandannagar, Agartala, where he announced a grant of ₹50.25 lakh for developing the Haat’s infrastructure. Speaking on the occasion, he highlighted that Sanskriti Haat, launched on December 10, 2023, has successfully continued for 100 consecutive weeks, becoming a symbol of Tripura’s cultural unity and diversity. Dr. Saha praised the efforts of organizers for promoting local art, culture, and self-reliance, noting that around 40–50 families have improved their livelihoods through self-help groups engaged in product-making and food sales. He emphasized that the initiative not only fosters cultural enrichment but also strengthens the socio-economic fabric of the region. The Chief Minister reiterated that Tripura’s 19 ethnic groups and diverse communities embody “unity in diversity,” making culture the true ornament of the state. The event was attended by ministers, officials, artists, and cultural enthusiasts.
