On the West Asia conflict, Top US Economist Jeffrey D Sachs said, "... Trump has eliminated any kind of systematic interagency analysis, feedback or deliberation. We're in a deinstitutionalized environment in the United States. We don't have rational decision-making. Normally, under our Constitution, a President would also consult with senior congressional leaders. Even as a political precaution, but also to get advice. Trump did not do that either... We got in on a completely flimsy, farcical rendition of what would happen, which is that you would kill the leadership that was meeting, apparently, to discuss the next phase of negotiation with the United States, which was ongoing...and the decision was taken by one person. I regard a lot of what the Trump administration does as illegal, unwise, and unconstitutional, as I had also said about the tariffs last year repeatedly..."
