Kalahandi (Odisha), Apr 11 (ANI): A village named Bhejipadar in Odisha’s Kalahandi has boycotted the Lok Sabha elections held today. Villagers are protesting for the construction of road for easier connectivity to the town. Villagers sat outside the booth but they didn’t cast vote. They have also put a board regarding the boycott. The village has 666 voters. A local told ANI, “Our village is 3 km far from the town. There are two roadways. Through one road we have to cover 10 km, for another route we have to cover 3 km. The longer route is like a forest. The shorter route is also not accessible. That is why we called Collector, DCP even DRM also. But it didn’t yield any sult. We want the construction of road.”
