Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala), July 12 (ANI): On Vizhinjam International Seaport CEO-Adani Ports and SEZ Ltd Karan Adani on July 12 said that the Adani’s Vizhinjam International Seaport will boost Indian manufacturing. While speaking to ANI, he highlighted the key benefits of the seaport. "We've got the public hearing cleared for the full master plan and once we get the environment clearance approval, we want to go ahead and complete the full phase, phase 2, 3 and 4...With this port we are able to reduce the transit time for our customers, that is the manufacturers of the country, by almost 30% to 40%. And that itself is a big benefit that the Indian manufacturers will have and make them more competitive at the global scale. Obviously, with the reduction in the transit time, you will definitely see a reduction in the logistics cost as well. We expect the reduction in logistics costs would be roughly 4 to 5% through this port...For this port, we have got support from all political parties whether it is BJP, Congress or the Left. The port was given by the Congress government then the development is happening during the Left government… I think all the political parties are working for the betterment of the state and I think it is very heartening to see," said CEO- Adani Ports and SEZ Ltd, Karan Adani Vizhinjam International Seaport in Kerala is a critical economic infrastructure project promoted by the Government of Kerala in a Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode.
