Mar 06, 2020
New Delhi, Mar 06 (ANI): Speaking in the Lok Sabha, Congress MP Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury on Friday questioned the suspension of seven of party’s MPs on March 05 by house speaker Om Birla. He said, “7 of our MPs were suspended for the entire Budget session, yesterday. We don't know on what basis was this done? This is not a minor thing. We only want a discussion on the issue of Delhi violence.” In a reply to Congress MP Adhir Ranjan, Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi said, “Such behavior should not be displayed in the House. Earlier, inappropriate words were said against the PM and Amit Shah Ji in the House but we did not do anything.” On March 05, seven Congress MPs were named by the Chair in the LS and suspended for the remaining part of the ongoing budget session for “gross misconduct” in the House.
