Women gather in Thiruvananthapuram to celebrate ‘Pongala Mahotsavam’

Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala), Mar 09 (ANI): Hundreds of women gathered in Kerala’s Thiruvananthapuram to celebrate Pongala Mahotsavam. Devotees cooked rice in small vessels and lined up to offer food to ‘Attukal Devi’. It is believed that the deity fulfills wishes of every devotee. In recent years women in lakhs have started participating in the annual ritual.
