Yamuna continues to exude toxic froth in Delhi

New Delhi, June 29 (ANI): For the last few days, toxic froth can be seen floating in the Yamuna river at Kalindi Kunj in the national capital. Environmentalists earlier have stated that the reason for the frothing could be the release of certain gases when reacting with few specific bacteria. Experts when asked about the particular episode of the surge in toxic level, stated that the froth was a common thing in the Yamuna but has increased in the last five-six years.“White forth formed a layer making it impossible for anybody to stand near the river bank and become a reason of many diseases,” a local said. “Government should take steps to clean Yamuna,” another local said.
