Aug 22, 2022
Washington [US], August 22 : According to a study, several people with dietary allergies have minimal symptoms when they are exposed to triggering foods, others have potentially catastrophic effects. Butyrate, a bacterial chemical produced by healthy microbiomes, has showed promise in lab testing against allergic reactions, but it is unpleasant to ingest orally. Researchers explain a more palatable method of administering this drug and reveal that their "polymeric micelles" are effective against peanut allergies in mice.
