The Bar Council of India (BCI) has expressed strong appreciation for the Waqf Amendment Bill, highlighting its role in addressing long-standing deficiencies in previous legislation.
JD(U) leader Anjum Ara on Saturday said that her party supported the Waqf (Amendment) Bill only after its suggestions were accepted. Her explanation came amid the resignations in the party after its MPs voted in favour of the Bill in both the Houses of the Parliament.
