The Delhi High Court has tagged a PIL challenging the mandatory MP/MLA endorsement requirement for women seeking benefits under the Delhi Lakshmi Yojana with a similar pending matter. The plea argues that making political recommendation a compulsory condition for receiving Rs 2,500 monthly assistance is arbitrary, non-transparent and burdensome for economically vulnerable women.
