Karnataka Bandh: Liquor sales banned in four Mandya taluks, security tightened

Amid the statewide Karnataka bandh over the Cauvery water issue, the Mandya district administration has imposed a one-day ban on the sale, transportation, and storage of liquor in K.R. Pet, Srirangapatna, Maddur, and Mandya taluks. All liquor shops, bars, and restaurants have been ordered to remain closed. Security has also been intensified across Mandya, particularly at Sanjay Circle, where a large protest is expected, with local police, DAR, and KSRP personnel deployed to maintain law and order.
