In the wake of the alleged gangrape of a medical student in West Bengal's Durgapur, West Bengal Governor CV Ananda Bose conceded that such instances are on the rise in West Bengal. He said that the government has to act firmly, and stern steps would be taken to prevent such cases in the future.
