Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], November 4 : Acting on the Centre's plea to states to "commensurately reduce" VAT on petrol and diesel, the Uttar Pradesh government on Thursday said that the prices of diesel and petrol in the state will be reduced by Rs 12 per litre each.
New Delhi [India], November 4 : Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Lalu Prasad Yadav on Wednesday said people "will not get any real relief" from the reduction in excise duty on petrol and diesel announced by the Centre and that petroleum prices will be raised again after assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh.
