5,886 security personnel killed in terrorist incidents in J-K till August 2019

New Delhi [India], August 10 : As many as 5,886 security personnel were killed in Jammu and Kashmir in terrorist incidents from 1989 till August 5, 2019, informed Minister of State Home Affairs Nityanand Rai in Lok Sabha on Tuesday.

Strength of women police personnel is 2,15,504: MHA

New Delhi [India], August 10 : Minister of State for Home Affairs Nityanand Rai informed the Lok Sabha that according to the Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPR&D) data, the strength of women police personnel is 2,15,504 which is 10.30 per cent of the actual strength of 20,91,488 police personnel in states and UTs as of January 1, 2020.
