Shimla (Himachal Pradesh) [India], May 4 : The Bhartiya Janata Party has alleged that the Congress party is appeasing the Muslim community during the Lok Sabha elections in 2024. The BJP state chief of Himachal Pradesh, Rajiv Bindal, addressing the media in Shimla, said that the Congress party has promised a manifesto to snatch OBC and other reservations and provide them to the Muslim community.
He said that in Himachal Pradesh, the BJP organised programmes on different fronts in two months and Panna Pramukh programmes are going on till May 9. He said 50 such meetings and conferences were completed and 1.5 lakh people have participated so far.
Bindal said that the BJP has finalised dates for the nomination for 4 Lok Sabha and 6 Assembly by-elections in the state.
He said that from the Lahaul-Spiti Assembly by-elections, Ravi Thakur will file on May 9.
Inder Dutt Lakhan Pal for Barsar Assembly by-elections, Devendra Bhutto from Kutlehar for Assembly by-elections and Rajendra Rana from Sujanpur for Assembly by-elections will file nominations on May 10th.
For the Kangra Parliamentary Constituency, Rajiv Bhardwaj will also file nominations on May 10th.

Bindal alleged that the state government in Himachal Pradesh failed to fulfil the promises made to the people. He said that by appointing the Chief Parliamentary Secretary (CPS), wasteful expenditure increased in the state.
He said that the Congress leaders during campaigns these days have lowered the level of political discourse in the state. He said the Congress leaders, including the CM, party chief Pratibha Singh and candidate from Mandi, Vikramaditya Singh and Minister Jagat Singh Negi, have used derogatory words against Kangana Ranaut.
Bindal also questioned the INDIA bloc for not announcing their prime ministerial candidate. He said that the opposition should tell who their PM face is, or is it Rahul Gandhi who fled from Amethi to Rae Bareli and got scared of Smriti Irani.
He said the BJP is led under the leadership of Modi as PM candidate. On statements given by the state chief minister, Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, he said that the BJP leaders have filed a defamation and a notice has been issued from the High Court of Himachal Pradesh.
Rajiv Bindal said that national leaders will start a campaign in Himachal Pradesh after the nomination.
