Shahjahanpur (Uttar Pradesh) [India], May 8 : Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took a dig at the Congress and Samajwadi Party (SP) on Wednesday and said that parties have conceded defeat in half the battle since the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has reached halfway towards achieving the goal of 'Abki Baar, 400 Paar.'
Addressing a public meeting here, Chief Minister Yogi said, "Half of the Lok Sabha seats have already undergone voting in the ongoing elections. We (BJP) have reached halfway towards achieving our goal of 'Abki Baar, 400 Paar.'
"The 2024 elections appear poised to make history. The setback is evident on the faces of Congress and SP suggests their acknowledgement of defeat in half the battle. Our history bears witness, no matter how big and powerful someone may be, if they are 'Ramdrohis', their downfall is certain. These elections are between 'Ram Bhakts' and 'Ramdrohis'," CM Yogi added.
In his address to the public, CM Yogi also appealed to the public to vote in support of BJP candidate Arun Kumar Sagar from the Shahjahanpur Lok Sabha seat and Arvind Kumar Singh, the candidate from the Dadraul Vidhansabha seat.
Highlighting the achievements of the BJP over the past decade, the Chief Minister said that today India's honour has increased, borders are secure, terrorism and Naxalism have been completely controlled, and various development projects have been completed, adding that a medical college has also been constructed in Shahjahanpur.
The Chief Minister emphasized, "A secure environment has been guaranteed for every citizen. Uttar Pradesh has experienced no riots in the last seven years, and curfews have not been imposed. Every daughter is now safeguarded, and every farmer, the backbone of our food supply, is content."
