“Heartiest congratulations to ISRO scientists,” says Confederation of Indian Industry director general

New Delhi [India], August 23 : In a monumental achievement that garnered praise from across the globe, Chandrayaan-3, India's third lunar mission, successfully accomplished a soft landing on the moon's south pole. Director General of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Chandrajit Banerjee extended his heartiest congratulations to ISRO and its dedicated scientists, emphasizing the historical significance of the accomplishment.
He said "Heartiest congratulations to ISRO and our scientists for successful landing of Chandrayaan 3 on the Lunar South Pole! A historical achievement for the world and India".
Former CM Raman Singh hailed the success as a testament to the unwavering determination and hard work of Indian scientists.
He said, "It is a great success of the scientists of India and their hard work.”
Reflecting on the journey from Chandrayaan 2's setback to Chandrayaan 3's triumph, Singh expressed his happiness and congratulated the nation for this remarkable achievement.
He further said, “After the failure of Chandrayaan-2, the whole country and the world was eyeing Chandrayaan-3 and it seemed that our scientists would be successful. I am happy today, India successfully succeeded in landing on the surface of the moon and as soon as Vikram Lander landed on the surface of the moon, there is no place for the happiness of millions of people, I congratulate and wish everyone that we move forward.”
It is a big success for India and everyone has expressed their happiness, school children and citizens from all sections of the society witnessing the momentous landing, he added.
After the successful soft landing of the Chandrayaan -3, the Chandigarh BJP also celebrated the historic moment by feeding each other laddoos with drum beats.
Arun Sood, the President of Chandigarh BJP, highlighted the historic nature of the achievement, marking India as the first nation to touch the lunar surface, a feat that had eluded the rest of the world.
He said, “Today we have created history due to the successful efforts of ISRO scientists and the guidance of the Prime Minister. This is a historic moment for all of us. Today we celebrated the successful landing of Chandrayaan 3 in Chandigarh BJP Headquarters. We are the first country in the whole world which touched the land on the moon which no other country in the world has been able to touch.”
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also hailed the Chandrayaan-3 mission and said “India is now on the moon”.
The Prime Minister, who is in South Africa for the BRICS Summit, joined the live telecast of Chandrayaan-3 landing online.
