"I find every character difficult": Shefali Shah on challenging roles

Oct 25, 2023

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], October 25 : Actor Shefali Shah on Wednesday revealed how she manages to slay every character and said that she finds every character difficult.
Talking about her challenging role in the films, Shefali said, "I find every character difficult. I always wonder why I said yes because when the director asks for action I will not be able to do it. That's a constant fear."
Actors Shefali Shah, Swanand Kirkire and director Avinash Arun Dhaware are all set to come up with their relationship drama 'Three Of Us.'
Sharing her experience of doing 'Three of Us,' Shefali Shah told ANI, " This film happened to us, we didn't make this film, this film made us. The difference between a book and a film is that, when you read a book, there is a space left for your imagination, that's why a book is more interesting and intriguing than a film because a film is just put out in front of you. This (movie) has a quality of that little space left for the audience to interpret it. It might not be a situation everyone can relate to but everyone can relate to the emotion of it. This character is not based on anyone as she's herself. Shailja is a different person."
Director Avinash Arun Dhaware said, "This is a love story among 3 characters, it's a story of past and future...the main character Sreeja gets diagnosed with dementia and then she starts a journey with her husband in a village of Konkan where she had to spend her childhood, she relives her memories and what kind of a healing process she goes through, that's what the film is all about"
Swanand Kirkire said, "Every movie teaches something and this film has taught a lot of compassion and love. Our director and actors were so capable and did such beautiful work. Things should be made, things should be accepted, these things should be seen by the children in the same way, they should start looking at life."
'Three of Us' is a relationship drama, directed by Avinash Arun that stars Shefali Shah, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Swanand Kirkire. It will be released in cinemas on November 3.
