Jaipur (Rajasthan) July 16 (ANI): While reviewing the work of the Food Department, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said that providing all the benefits of Public Distribution System (PDS) with transparency to every eligible family under social security is the top priority of the state government. CM Gehlot instructed the officials that in this direction, he work of providing Jan Aadhar card to eligible families, matching with ration card and rectifying errors should be completed as a campaign. With this, the eligible people will be able to get 100 percent benefits of National Food Security as well as other schemes of Public Distribution System. The Chief Minister also directed that according to the announcements made in the budget, the work of strengthening the Public Distribution System should be expedited. “It should be our aim that no eligible family should be deprived of the benefit of Public Distribution System,” he said. The Rajasthan Cheif Minister also told the officials that in the COVID-19 pandemic, many families lost their breadwinners and the financial condition of these families is not good. In such a situation, the benefits received from the Public Distribution System are a big support for them. He instructed the officials to provide all such benefits to eligible families.
