Agartala (Tripura), June 16 (ANI): The Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president Pijush Kanti Biswas slammed the ruling BJP-The Indigenous Peoples Front of Tripura (IPFT) government in Tripura over the deteriorating law and order situation and alleged that ‘there is no rule of law, everyday incidents of rape, torture, extortion, and cheating are taking place in Tripura.’ “Torture upon women has become a routine matter in Tripura, repeatedly incidents are taking place but the government is silent over the matter. Yesterday two girls were raped by six persons during night curfew. Gang rape shows that there is no law and order, police are not active, and they are not acting,” said Biswas, who is also a senior advocate of the High Court.
