New Delhi, May 15 (ANI): Delhi Police have arrested five interstate drug peddlers including gang leader Nikhil, involved in supplying cannabis in Delhi-NCR. The sleuths of the Anti-Narcotics Squad arrested Tejwar Rawat from Mahavir Enclave, Dabri, Delhi where he had come with the consignment of the contraband for selling to the consumers. However, he ran out of luck when he was checked on suspicion by the Anti-Narcotics Squad. Illegal Gaanja weighing more than 2 kg, adeptly packed in a beg, was recovered from him. After Sustained interrogation, the main Supplier namely Nikhil Kumar were also apprehended from the rented house at Mahabir Enclave, Dabri. On further investigation, as per disclosure, three more accused persons were also arrested. Nikhil is the mastermind of the syndicate. He began his foray into the trade of illegal drugs as a peddler but soon he climbed up the crime ladder to become one of the top suppliers of ganja in Delhi/NCR. The drug cartel has an inter-state nexus as contraband of Gaanja are trafficked in Delhi by cargo from Shillong. More than 43 kilograms of illegal Gaanja imported from shillong has been recovered from their possession.
