New Delhi, November 10 (ANI): Flights carrying 394 deported migrants landed in Guatemala on Nov 10, according to Guatemala's immigration authorities. The deportees were primarily detained at the US-Mexico border while attempting to enter United States. They were processed by Guatemalan Migration Institute, which also assisted them in returning to their original communities. Deportees hoped that US President-elect Trump would provide them with opportunities to return to US on temporary work visas. However, Trump on the other hand has vowed to reinstate first-term policies targeting illegal border crossings. Americans see immigration as most pressing issue for Trump to address; the majority believe he’ll order mass deportations of people living US illegally.
