New Delhi, March 05 (ANI): The crime branch of Delhi police received a complaint from a businessman alleging that he received a phone call on his mobile phone stating that “Shakti” is calling from Tihar Jail, Delhi. The caller threatened the complainant and demanded Rs. 2 crore from him and gave him two days to arrange it. He threatened him to pay the demanded money else he will face the consequences. In this regard, police registered a case, and an investigation was taken up. On the basis of technical surveillance, it was revealed that the suspects were active in the area of west Delhi. Immediately the police team conducted a raid to nab the culprits. Sincere efforts of the team yielded results and one of the suspects Satish Kumar, was apprehended from the area of Uttam Nagar. During sustained interrogation, he confessed his involvement in the crime. At his instance, his associate namely Deepak Sahrawat who had made the extortion calls to the complainant was apprehended from his house. Police recovered a car and four mobile phones from their possession.
