COVID-19: Country reports lowest new deaths in over 6 months

New Delhi, Jan 04 (ANI): India on January 04 added 16,505 new COVID-19 infections in last 24 hours which pushed total case load to 1,03,40,470. Country reported 214 deaths in the same period, taking the total casualties to 1,49,649. The daily deaths at 214 is lowest in over six months. India’s recoveries are inching towards 1 crore-mark with 19,557 new discharges in last 24 hours. On January 03, Indian drug regulator gave nod to vaccines of Serum Institute of India and Bharat Biotech for emergency use.
