COVID-19: PM Modi hails Akshay Kumar's Rs 25 cr donation to PM-CARES Fund

New Delhi, Mar 28 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on March 28 lauded Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar for donating Rs. 25 crore to PM-CARES Fund. The action hunk of Bollywood pledged to donate such an enourmous amount in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic. Twinkle Khanna also solute her husband's generosity by sharing a post on her twitter handle, "The man makes me proud. When I asked him if he was sure as it was such a massive amount and we needed to liquidate funds, he just said, ' I had nothing when I started and now that I am in this position, how can I hold back from doing whatever I can for those who have nothing.'" Recently, the Prime Minister has appealed the countrymen to donate whatever they can to 'Prime Minister's Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations Fund (PM CARES Fund).' Several citizens including prominent personalities are donating and sharing PM Modi's twitter post on their social media accounts so that the message will reach to the masses.
