Mumbai, Feb 29 (ANI): A farewell ceremony was organised for Mumbai Police Commissioner Sanjay Barve on February 29. Barve was to retire on August 31, 2019, but he was twice given three-month extensions owing to the state polls. A decision about the new police commissioner is likely to be taken soon when Barve’s extension comes to an end. Barve had taken over as the commissioner of Mumbai city on February 28, 2019 and was granted two extensions in August and November.
