Jaipur (Rajasthan), Jan 20 (ANI): A review meeting with Additional Director Generals of Police (ADGPs) of several ranges was recently organized at the Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot’s Office in Jaipur. In the meeting, CM Gehlot instructed the senior police officers to set up a special unit to crack down on multi-state cooperative societies who are fraudulently grabbing money from people. He has instructed the Range In-charge Additional Director Generals to visit their range at least twice in every two months. CM Gehlot underlined that his government’s objective behind handing over range monitoring to ADG level officers is to better monitor law and order, adding that actual feedback at the ground level can reach the government and decisions can be taken to improve policing accordingly. With this, senior officers at police headquarters will be able to directly deal with the crimes and problems faced by citizens. In the meeting, CM also stressed on the importance of self-defence training program run by the state government for women. Chief Minister said that more and more girls should be trained in self-defence by women policemen in every district's police line or any other suitable place.
