‘Hope NHRC will try to see our point of view’: Jamia VC on probe

New Delhi, Jan 12 (ANI): While speaking to ANI in the national capital on January 12, the Vice Chancellor (VC) of Jamia Millia Islamia, Najma Akhtar spoke about writing letter to National Human Rights Commission (NHRC). She said, “Students, teachers and Jamia Millia Islamia earlier wrote to the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) about the violation of human rights in university. A team of the commission had already visited the campus prior and we have provided them all the necessary documents required for their investigation.” “On coming Tuesday (January 14) they are again coming to visit the campus and talk to the witness to take their statement,” she added. “I hope that they (NHRC) will try to see our point of view and this is like an achievement for us,” VC further stated.
