“No question of criticising Indian Army…” Shashi Tharoor on ‘Tawang’ Clash

New Delhi, December 21 (ANI): As days continue to pass after the Indo-China clash in Tawang, the border issue with China has become a constant topic of discussion by the Opposition leaders. Talking on the same, Congress MP Shashi Tharoor said that his party wants Government to take Opposition and the people of India into confidence about what exactly they see on border. “Party and other Opposition parties have been asking for a discussion (on China). While we're all united in standing up for the nation and security of our country, we want Government to take us and the people of India into confidence about what exactly they're seeing on border,” he said. Addressing allegations of insulting the Indian Army, the Congress Leader said, “No question of criticising Army. The question is about the country's political leadership. Why won't they be doing their job or being politically accountable to the nation? Not calling the Army to explain, asking the political leadership to explain.”
