Jaipur (Rajasthan) September 16 (ANI): The state government is fully committed so that forests, wildlife, wetlands and grasslands can be conserved. For this, the state government is working in collaboration with wildlife lovers, experts and wildlife conservation organisations. Under this, recently a meeting of the State Wildlife Board was called by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot at the Chief Minister's residence in Jaipur. Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that wildlife conservation is the top priority of the government. With the efforts of the state government, the number of tigers in the state has exceeded 100. At the same time, the number of other wildlife including panthers, blackbuck, chital, and deer is also continuously increasing. During the meeting, the Chief Minister directed the departmental officers to work as per the requirement in the sanctuaries of the state including Ranthambore, Sariska, Mukundra and Ramgarh Vishdhari. He also asked the officials to send a proposal to the government to strengthen the Department of Environment and Climate Change and the Wetland Authority.
