Srinagar, May 24 (ANI): Umar Nisar, a Radio Jockey from South Kashmir has been awarded 01 Best Content Award and the Immunization Champion Award by UNICEF at the annual Radio4Child Awards in Mumbai. The award was presented by Multi-Grammy award-winning music composer, environmentalist and UNICEF Celebrity Supporter Ricky Kej, Chief of Communications and Advocacy and Partnerships Dr Zafrin Chowdhury, State Immunization Officer Dr Sachin Desai. Umar is a Radio Jockey in a local FM station in South Kashmir. This award is essential part of RJ Umar’s life. It will motivate him for the rest of future. He dedicated this award to listeners for all the love and support. He did excellent work during the pandemic by increasing awareness and countering rumours. Over 80 radio professionals from all over India were felicitated by Radio4Child, UNICEF India’s initiative. RJ Umar is the only RJ from J&K who was selected for this award.
