Pilibhit (Uttar Pradesh), Feb 19 (ANI): Following the judgement by a Special Court that awarded death penalty to 38 convicts involved in 2008 Ahmedabad Serial Blast case, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on February 19, while addressing a public rally in Pilibhit, Uttar Pradesh said that the convicts had connection with the Samajwadi Party. “Yesterday an Ahmedabad Court pronounced quantum of sentence for 38 terrorists in (2008) serial blast case. Capital punishment & life imprisonment were awarded. They included some terrorists from UP too, and the family of one of them was seen with Samajwadi Party chief asking for votes for Samajwadi Party,” said Yogi Adityanath. Seven-phase Assembly Elections in Uttar Pradesh commenced on February 10, and the polling for the first two phases has been held. The third phase of UP polls will be held on February 20.
