Bangladesh's state minister for foreign affairs, Shama Obaed Islam, met the US Assistant Secretary of the Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs (SCA), S. Paul Kapur, at the State Department. They discussed areas of mutual interest, including trade, energy and defence, the Bangladesh Embassy in Washington DC said in a press release on Tuesday.
Earlier, PM Modi met King Harald V of Norway at the Royal Palace in Oslo and reaffirmed the strong and longstanding ties between India and Norway, the Ministry of External Affairs said.
