The opposition party, Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI), made significant efforts on Sunday to prevent the introduction of a controversial constitutional amendment. PTI's leadership engaged in talks with Maulana Fazlur Rehman and participated in a committee meeting at the National Assembly. PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan expressed concerns over the proposed amendment, accusing the government of advancing personal interests. PTI also alleged pressure tactics against its legislators to support the bill. Concerns were also raised over the whereabouts of PTI MNA Aurengzeb Khichi.
"India is the first country in the G20 to achieve its Paris Climate commitments 9 years ahead of the deadline. Among the G20 nations, we are the only one to have achieved this feat," PM Modi said.
