Centre trying to deceive common people, says Rajasthan CM on petrol, diesel price cut

Jaipur (Rajasthan), May 23 (ANI): Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on May 22 slammed the Central Government’s decision to reduce prices of petrol and diesel stating that they are trying to deceive the common people. “During the UPA government, excise duty was Rs 10, which they (BJP govt) increased to Rs 32. States also used to have their share but now they have imposed additional excise duty and all the money goes into the central government's account,” said CM Gehlot. “Petrol-diesel prices were continuously increasing, but as soon as UP elections were announced, it stopped. When elections were over, prices started to rise again. They raised prices by around Rs 10/liter and reduced them by Rs 8-9. This is to deceive the common,” he added.
